Juniper is a witch, a writer, an organizer, a dreamer, a drummer, and a Reclaiming Witchcamp priestex since 1994. She is also a core trainer with the People’s Institute for Survival and Beyond, a Black-led organization in New Orleans, and a founder and organizer with Undoing White Supremacy Austin. She teaches facilitation, consensus, community and culture building, and anti-racism through the lens of whiteness. As much as around the ritual fire, her magic is forged in the streets of Quebec, Manhattan, and Cairo. In the Texas Capital. On a cot in the Travis County jail. She remembers and acknowledges her obligations to ancestors and descendants, and to those who tended the land she nests on: Tonkawa, Comanche, Apache, and Coahuiltecan people, and mothers, fathers, and children enslaved on the Goodrich Plantation.

Firecrackin presently resides on the traditional lands of the Timucua and the unceded lands of the Seminole People in what is presently known as Gainesville, Florida. They identify as a merfae and feel most at home amongst alligators, dolphins, manatees, fruit trees and exquisite botanical wonders in the swamps, oceans, and spring fed lush lands that surround them. Firecrackin is committed to protecting these precious watershed neighbors and is currently organizing a grassroots, local and state effort to shut down a toxic dump near massive migratory wetlands, a limestone artesian spring head, and 100s of homes, including the one where they currently reside with their partner and fur baby.
