The wheel turns as we gather outside in The Butterfly Garden @The VORTEX, singing around the Yule fire to celebrate the darkness of the Winter Solstice and the returning light.
Intention: We welcome Winter’s Kiss, open Mysteries of the Wyrd, and spark our Fires for Liberation. Family-friendly — all ages are welcome!
Potluck – food and dishes. Everyone is encouraged to bring finger food or snacks to share for feasting after the ritual. To reduce our impact, please remember to bring a plate, cup, and napkin in order to encourage no plastic and paper. Composting available on-site.
Gift Donation – Please consider donating an unwrapped toy, HEB gift card, or Bus Pass to be distributed by Refugee Services of Texas Austin. Please support families who have taken root in new homes in Austin.
Tejas Web begins a new public ritual sabbat cycle with the Wyrd Sisters as we build relationships leading toward Wyrd Sisters Witchcamp in October 2019.
Following this Winter Solstice ritual, those interested in creating public rituals between now and Wyrd Sisters Witchcamp are invited to meet and discuss public ritual planning for the coming year.
Wyrd engages the threads of fate, folds of time, and realms beneath the roots. The Wyrd is the blank rune from the Nordic Rune Oracle which literally means “that which has not yet been fated”. The Wyrd Sisters open the Mysteries of Wyrd and the infinite possibilities of Is, Was, and Shall Be. Our stories emerge with the mythos and weavings of Wyrd Sisters such as The Norns (Nordic), The Moirae (Greek), The Parcae (Roman), Deivės Valdytojos (Lithuanian), Wyrd Sisters (Shakespeare’s Macbeth), and The Fates (popular lore).
Tejas Web gratefully accepts donations to support our magical work.
